Emily : (crying on her bed)

Shane : Emily ? Em ?
Emily : (wipe her tears) Yes ?
Shane : Get yourself ready , I wanna go to the supermarket .

Emily : Why don't you just go by yourself ?
Shane : I need you help and carry stuffs , got loads of stuffs I wanna buy .

Emily : Tsk , alright fine . (jump off from her bed and wears her dark purple hoodie)

Shane : I'll be waiting in the car !

Emily receive a call from Helena .



Emily : Hello ?
Helena : Hey , how was your day ?
Emily : Oh , it's fine . I'm doing alright now .

Helena : Ah , I see . (nodding) I heard that you're having problems with Derek ?

Emily : Look , if you wanna talk about Derek , might as well I hung up the phone now .

Helena : Wait . Let me talk to you at least for a while .

Emily : Alright , what ? confess with him ? I've got nothing else to say now .

Helena : You should talk to him not to hurt his feelings ? think again , Em .

Emily : Look , I have no time to talk about this , alright . Just leave me alone . (hungs up the phone)

Dave : What's wrong , dear ?
Helena : She hung up the phone .

Dave : Just give her time and let her calm down .

Emily : I'm afraid you're shocked with this news .

Emily : Hmm.. Derek told me something about his illness which is.. getting from bad to worst.

Shane : Okay , what's the matter with his illness ? he only got migrane problems , right ?

Shane : WHAT ?! (he breaks the car) HOLY SHIT .

Shane : Look , why don't you talk to him and give him a chance ?

At 11 midnight later , Dave & Helena came to Derek's house . He's lying down on his bed .

Dave : Dude , you're alright ?
Derek : Yeah . (holding a picture frame of Derek & Em)
Dave : Don't worry , dude . She will come back .

Helena : I tried to talk to her but she refuse to .

Derek : It's okay , how is she ?
Helena : She's fine . Just that , she needs some space .

Derek : Oh , I see . I hope she's doing fine without me .

Helena : Hey , don't say that ! in the end , she will know how difficult she live without you .

Dave : Jyeah , why don't you take a break first .

Helena : Derek , don't mind if I ask ?
Derek : Sure , why not .

Helena : What's Em reaction when you told her that you're having brain cancer ?
Derek : (lie his head on his pillow) Ermm .. she look down and feeling quite sad .
Helena : She's like that . Don't worry , she'll find you back when she's okay .

The next day , Helena received a bad news that Derek went to the hospital nearby .

Helena : (calls Dave) Dear ?
Dave : Yes, sweety ? Whaddup ?
Helena : Derek got into hospital .
Dave : What ? Again ?
Helena : Yeah , we have to visit him now .
Dave : Alright , I'm on my way fetching you now .
Helena : Okay . See ya .
Dave : Bye . (hungs up the phone)

Around 2pm later ...

Helena : (went into the hospital entrance)
Dave : What's the wad number ?
Helena : Ermm .. 240 .
Dave : Alright . It's way at the back over there . (points the direction)
Helena : Hmm .. okay .

When they enters in the wad . Derek was lying down on the bed with his eyes shut .

Helena : He look so pale , dear . I am so worried right now .
Dave : He's my bestest friend , never ever heard that he got brain cancer .
Helena : Dear , things happened for a reason and it can happen at any time .
Dave : Hmm .. yeah . (looks down) let's take a seat .
Helena : (took a metal chair beside her , and sit down)
Dave : Hmmph . Why don't you call Em ?
Helena : Okay , I'll try . Hope she picks up my call .
Dave : Alright .

Helena : Hello , Em ?
Emily : Hey , wassup ?
Helena : I wanna tell you something .
Emily : What is it ? go ahead . (wiping the dishes)
Helena : Derek is in the hospital currently . Why don't you come and visit him .
Emily : What ? you're kidding me .
Helena : I am not , Em . I'm in the hospital with Dave .
Emily : Whatever . You're just making up stories , right ? so that Derek could meet me .
Helena : LOOK , ENOUGH IS ENOUGH . Derek don't even expect to have cancers .

Helena : Please come here and visit him before it's too late .
Emily : (hungs up the phone)
Helena : Hello ? Hello ?! Ugh .

Dave : She hung up again ?
Helena : Yeah .
Dave : She's not the old Emily as I know .
Helena : What do you mean ?
Dave : The first time I know you and Em , she's not behaving like this .
Helena : Yeah , I can see that from her reactions .
Dave : We should meet her face to face .
Helena : What ? You crazy ? no way .
Dave : We have to , we've got no other choice already .
Helena : We should talk to Shane personally .

Around 4.30pm later , Helena and Dave came to Emily's house .

Helena : (knocks the door) Hello ? Shane ?

Shane : I'm coming ! (running down the stairs)

Helena : Hey , we need to talk to you . (look at Dave and then Shane)
Shane : Personally ?
Dave : Yeah . (nodding)
Shane : Let's go to the backyard .
Helena : Sure , anything .

When in the backyard ..

Helena : Your sister change a lot as we can see .
Dave : Jyeah , Derek is in the hospital currently . He got brain cancer .
Shane : I know , she told me yesterday .
Dave : She refuse to visit Derek , before it's too late ..
Shane : I know what you mean , Dave .
Helena : Derek need her so much .
Shane : I'll try to talk to her now .
Dave : Whoa , let her cool down first , dude . (stops Shane)
Shane : I have to . (walk away)

Shane enters in Em's bedroom .

Emily : (turns around)
Shane : You (points to Em) have to leave and visit Derek now .
Emily : I don't want to . What's your problem , bro ?
Shane : WHAT'S MY PROBLEM ? IT'S YOUR PROBLEM , YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW ME NOW .
Emily : Wait , where are we going ?!
Shane : Meeting Derek .
Emily : WHAT ? NO ! (let go of her hands)
Shane : When you gonna change , sis ? you're the only my younger sister , you should listen to me !
Emily : NO ! I'm not gonna listen to you and I won't visit Derek or whatever shit .
Shane : You know what , you can forget it and leave this house .You don't appreciate what Derek have done for you . He's your boyfriend and in the end you treat him like this ?! YOU'VE CHANGE , EMILY !
Emily : (starts crying and look down)
Shane : You can forget him but don't regret in the end . (walk away)
Emily : Wait .. (crying on the floor)

Helena and Dave comes in Em's room .

Helena : What your brother said it's true , Em .
Emily : GO AWAY !
Dave : It's okay , Em . Everybody makes mistakes .
Emily : Whatever bullshit you told my brother about Derek , just leave me alone !
Helena : We're here to bring you and visit Derek , please .
Emily : (crying)
Dave : Let's bring her out .

In the end ..

When Helena, Dave, Shane & Em came to the hospital ..

Doctor : Are you Derek's family members ?
Shane : Yes , we are . How is he ?
Doctor : I'm sorry to say that , he's dead .
Helena & Em : WHAT ?
Emily : There's no other way to ..
Doctor : No , I'm so sorry . (taps Dave's shoulders and walk away)
Emily : NO . (crying)
Helena : (starts crying)
Shane : (hug Em and crying)

After 1 month later ..
Curtis meets Emily at the park nearby .

Curtis : Hey , Em .
Emily : Hi . (looking at a random couple playing around with the leafs)
Curtis : (look at the random couple and look at Em) Are you alright ?
Emily : Huh ? I'm fine . (nodding)
Curtis : (smiles) Keep thinking of your boyfriend , huh ?
Emily : Yeah . (nodding)
Curtis : Mmh , you can find other guys to be your boyfriend , instead .
Emily : It's not easy to find a person like Derek .. Hmmph , I miss him . (look at Curtis)
Curtis : Well , that's life , Em . Everthing's changed .
Emily : True enough .
Curtis : Yeah , but still you have your brother to be by your side .
Emily : Welp , like what people said . Family members are much more important then your friends .
Curtis : Ermm .. not really , though . It's just that , you just need to balance your life between your boyfriend and your family members .
